I went to three games during the Phillies recent homestand, catching two absolutely amazing games and leaving before the now infamous Tasering during the other one.
Turns out all it takes to allay fears of the Phillies being snakebitten is Jamie Moyer drawing a bases loaded walk from Johan Santana and then twirling a two-hit gem 5 days later against another NL East rival.
That game still blows my mind. It’s the sort of thing you can’t believe you’re watching. I hope someday to see a perfect game, but this was probably as close as I’ve ever been and it still gave me chills.
When they’re on, they’re on. What a fun team to watch!
